Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Did the interventional radiology and interventional neuroradiology services at Auckland City Hospital hold accreditation and subsequently lose that accreditation; if so, when and how was he informed, if at all, that the accreditation was lost?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that on 21 October 2024, International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) advised the Interventional Radiology and Interventional Neuro Radiology service at Auckland hospital that its accreditation would be temporarily suspended, pending the provision of an approved and funded plan to replace the unit's existing imaging equipment.
