75611 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills: What proposals for campus reductions, if any, have gone out for consultation with students and staff at Southern Institute of Technology, since 1 June 2024?
Hon Penny Simmonds: Te Pūkenga is currently undertaking substantial work to improve the financial viability of its former institute of technology and polytechnic (ITP) business divisions. As part of this work, each business division’s course offering and the need for various campuses is being reviewed. I am aware some business divisions have already begun consulting on programme changes and/or changes to campuses. However, this is an operational matter and the responsibility of Te Pūkenga. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 75612, 75613, 75614, 75615, 75616, 75617, 75618, 75619, 75620, 75621, 75622, 75623 and 75624 (2024).
