75593 (2024). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Auckland: Further to paragraph 24 of ECO-24-MIN-0108, on what occasions, if any, have other Ministers come to him to consult on matters "coming before Cabinet that will have a significant or disproportionate impact for Auckland" by date, title of Minister and title of concern?
Hon Simeon Brown: There is no paragraph 24. However, I note that 57.8 per cent of Auckland voters elected our Government to get Auckland back on track, and that is what our Government is doing. This includes axing the Auckland Regional Fuel Tax, delivering tax relief for hardworking Aucklanders, avoiding a 25.8 per cent water rate hike with the delivery of Local Water Done Well, opening a new state-of-the-art radiology machine at the Auckland City Hospital Regional Cancer and Blood Service, and welcoming a new 24/7 police station in central Auckland to restore law and order.
