75588 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills: How, if at all, will students who are enrolled in courses being cut from Te Pūkenga, be compensated for the sudden disruptions to their learning?
Hon Penny Simmonds: It is my expectation that where courses are being cut, all learners enrolled would be able to complete their qualification with Te Pūkenga or are given the opportunity to transfer to another provider. However, this is an operational matter and the responsibility of Te Pūkenga. The Tertiary Education Commission will closely monitor the impact of course closures on learners.
