75558 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Education: In relation to Reply 72481 (2024); of the eight registration criteria for a private school, how many does the Gloriavale Christian School currently comply with?

Hon Erica Stanford: Corrected reply: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that the situation regarding registration criteria remains officially as it was in October 2023 when the Education Review Office (ERO) found Gloriavale Christian School to be non-compliant in six of the eight criteria. Since then, the Ministry has been working with the school to monitor the implementation of an action plan to address the issues related to non-compliance. The Ministry awaits the results of the latest ERO review of the school which occurred in October 2024. The Secretary of Education will use ERO’s findings and other information gathered throughout the year to determine compliance against the criteria and any further steps that might be required.
