75550 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Disability Issues: What guidance, if any, has the Minister's departments, if any, given staff regarding attendance at Hikoi mō te Tiriti on 19 November 2024?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that the Ministry of Disabled People – Whaikaha staff had been informed and followed the advice below: - Please note you would be attending in a personal capacity and not representing Whaikaha. - If you would like to attend it for the full day, half a day, etc (anything more than your personal breaks), you will need to take this as annual leave and log this through MyHR. - If you are intending to head down on your lunch break, please remove your lanyards. - Please discuss any leave with your manager who will, among other things, need to ensure appropriate staffing numbers are maintained.
