75472 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Health: What guidance, if any, has the Minister's departments, if any, given staff regarding attendance at Hikoi mō te Tiriti on 19 November 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised by the Ministry of Health, advice to its staff in the lead up to the Hīkoi mō te Tiriti covered three matters: 1. Guidance to staff if contemplating attending the hikoi (discuss with manager, consider role at the Ministry, attend in your own time and ensure no identifying clothing and/or material or social media posts that could be linked to or attributed to the Ministry). 2. Reinforcing Te Kawa Maataho | Public Service Commission’s advice about taking part, political neutrality obligations as a public servant and code of conduct obligations. 3. Advising of likely traffic disruption (and advice regarding alternate working arrangements if required e.g. working from home on the day).
