Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised KiwiRail has a range of support available to any of its workers exposed to serious events, noting that this extends to response and recovery team members as well as those directly involved. This is outlined in KiwiRail critical incidents policy and involves a number of interventions such as mental wellbeing support, paid time off and return to work assessments. I am advised additional support can be made available as required.
