75330 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister for State Owned Enterprises: How much, if any, of the new intermodal rail and freight hub near Bunnythorpe has been completed, as of 18 November 2024?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that KiwiRail has completed the necessary land designations and has undertaken land purchases to enable the development of the proposed freight hub. This project was provided with seed funding of $40 million from the Provincial Growth Fund for the purpose of land acquisition and designation activities, and I am advised this has essentially been completed.
