75325 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister for State Owned Enterprises: What work, if any, is KiwiRail undertaking to improve its track warrant systems?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that KiwiRail is currently rolling out a system called Interceptor which automatically applies the train brakes if a train is likely to exceed the limits of a track warrant. I am also advised that KiwiRail has completed a business case for the replacement of the Track Warrant Control system.
