75197 (2024). Kahurangi Carter to the Minister for the Environment: What actions will she consider to lower New Zealand’s emissions from waste?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The second emissions reduction plan will build on the Cabinet commitment in April 2024 to invest in resource recovery infrastructure that targets waste streams responsible for the bulk of emissions from the sector, such as organic materials. These actions will be announced as part of the full ERP2 package by the end of 2024.
