75187 (2024). Kahurangi Carter to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: How will the $32 million for increasing capacity of the current redress system be used, and when will it be invested?
Hon Erica Stanford: The $32 million will be invested in the following:
• An additional 196 survivor claims to be processed in 2024/25.
• An additional 550 survivor claims to be processed in 2025/26.
This investment includes redress payments, support for survivors, records support, legal support, case management, and operational costs.
