Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 in actioning the recommendation ‘Review the role of the Immunisation Advisory Centre as sole provider of authorisation services, particularly in providing equitable outcomes and their acceptance by Māori organisations’ under ‘Priority Area 2: Authorisation of childhood vaccinators’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that from late March 2024, all core online vaccinator training courses became free to help expand the vaccinator workforce. I am further advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, planning work continued on open market procurement processes for vaccinator training services.
