74162 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 in actioning the recommendation ‘Establish a standalone, permanent service coverage strategy and oversight entity, which could be the National Immunisation Taskforce’ under ‘Priority Area 8: Governance, technical advice and service coverage oversight’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, the Public Health Agency was leading work to develop the Strategic Approach to Immunisation in New Zealand Framework. I am further advised that the Immunisation Strategic Oversight Board was established in November 2023 as part of the new national immunisation governance system. The Board is responsible for monitoring immunisation outcomes and performance improvement.
