74157 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 in actioning the recommendation ‘The revised immunisation system must be designed through co-design which seeks and values the voices of priority populations, with quality measures defined by what matters to them’ under ‘Priority Area 10: Quality and standards for providers delivering immunisations to tamariki in New Zealand’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, planning was underway by the Health New Zealand Quality Subcommittee to develop a quality framework that includes immunisation.
I am further advised that the subcommittee has subsequently completed a draft framework, which is out for consultation. Work is also planned to develop new immunisation standards to replace the operating guidelines.
