Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 on the priority action ‘partner with disabled people and their whānau, iwi and Māori, Pacific, Rainbow and ethnic communities’ disability organisations to understand the skills and capabilities required to meet the health and wellbeing needs of disabled people and their whānau and design health services accordingly (This will provide opportunities for the workforce to utilise their skills and deliver models of care that meet the health and wellbeing needs of disabled people and their whānau.)’ within ‘Priority 4: Build health workforce capacity and capability to meet the needs of disabled people and their whānau’ as part of the Ministry of Health’s ‘Provisional Health of Disabled People Strategy: 2023’?
