Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 on the priority action ‘partner with disabled people and their whānau to collect robust, meaningful, timely and accurate data to be able to determine the health and wellbeing needs of disabled people and plan and monitor system performance (This includes commissioning and supporting the creation and maintenance of data frameworks and regularly reporting on accurate disaggregated data, such as ethnic-specific disability data and data on communities within the disabled population, particularly tāngata whaikaha Māori. Disaggregated data that maps to health data, including for rare and multiple coexisting conditions, will increase opportunities for service improvement.)’ within ‘Priority 5: Increase the visibility of disabled people in health data, research and evidence as part of an active learning system’ as part of the Ministry of Health’s ‘Provisional Health of Disabled People Strategy: 2023’?
