74013 (2024). Kahurangi Carter to the Minister for Children: Who, if any, listed by name and with detail of their engagements, are the other agencies that have been involved in any aspect of the military style youth academies?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that the Ministry for Social Development, New Zealand Defence Force, New Zealand Police, Ministry of Justice, Health New Zealand and Department of Corrections attended the initial planning workshops and have provided input into the development of the Military-Style Academy Pilot. I am further advised that the New Zealand Police, Ministry of Education, Ministry for Social Development, New Zealand Defence Force, Te Puni Kōkiri and Health New Zealand have been part of the cross-agency steering group.
