73972 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Health: How many roles, if any, did the Minister's departments, if any, lose from 1 November 2023 to 1 November 2024, and how many of these roles, if any, were in the Otago region?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that 81 employees left the Ministry due to redundancy between 1 November 2023 and 1 November 2024; 41 of these accepted voluntary redundancy and 40 were made redundant. None of these employees were based in the Otago region. Another four employees have been notified of their redundancy but will not leave the Ministry until after 1 November 2024, one of whom is based in the Otago region.
