73730 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Defence: How many roles, if any, did the Minister's departments, if any, lose from 1 November 2022 to 1 November 2023, and how many of these roles, if any, were in the Otago region?

Hon Judith Collins: For the Ministry of Defence, I refer the member to my previous response to Written Parliamentary Question 7587 (2024). A total of 3,758 New Zealand Defence Force Regular Force and civilian positions were removed as a result of either being vacant, disestablished, or were temporary, training, recruit, or deployed roles. This includes two temporary Regular Force roles in the Otago region.
