73678 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills: How many roles, if any, did the Minister's departments, if any, lose from 1 November 2022 to 1 November 2023, and how many of these roles, if any, were in the Otago region?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The TEC lost 18 positions between 1 November 2022 to 1 November 2023, none of these positions was located in the Otago Region In relation to the Ministry of Education, I refer the Member to the Minister of Education’s response to written parliamentary questions 73738 and 73965 (2024). I am advised that Education New Zealand did not lose any roles between 1 November 2022 and 1 November 2024 (including in the Otago region). The New Zealand Qualifications Authority disestablished 3 roles in this time period. None of these were in the Otago region.
