73672 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Local Government: Why is Wellington City Council's choice not to use debt financing or the Local Water Done Well financing mechanisms referred to in his press release "Government to appoint Crown Observer to Wellington City Council", dated 22 October 2024, but not included in the Terms of Reference for the Crown Observer?

Hon Simeon Brown: As the Member will be aware, I have appointed a Crown Observer to the Wellington City Council to ensure that it secures a financially sustainable Long Term Plan that prioritises the capital programme. Long Term Plans detail how funding will be allocated to a range of critical services and infrastructure, including water.
