73584 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Are applicants’ conflicts of interest required to be listed before or after appointments are made to boards at the Ministry of Justice?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: Candidates being recommended for appointment to the Crown entity boards administered under the Justice portfolio are required by section 31 of the Crown Entities Act 2004 to complete a declaration disclosing any matters that would be an impediment to their appointment. This includes any conflicts of interest.
