73554 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Is the minister undertaking work on a beneficial ownership register for companies and legal partnerships, if so what is the status of this work - is it progressing, has it been deferred, or does it have another status?

Hon Andrew Bayly: I am currently progressing reforms to modernise the Companies Act 1993 and make other improvements for business. I will work with my Ministerial colleagues in the Justice sector to determine the best way forward for this work
