72876 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 in achieving the individual measure ‘The National Immunisation Programme to publish nationally accepted guidelines for the functioning of the immunisation system, including specific guidelines on enrolment’ within the ‘Initial Priorities for the National Immunisation Programme in Aotearoa 2022’?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, work continued to implement the immunisation pre-call/recall funding initiative in primary care, which included best practice guidelines and a focus on early enrolment of newborns. I am further advised that work was underway on the Strategic Approach to Immunisation in New Zealand, led by the Ministry of Health, which establishes shared objectives and provides the roadmap for national action on key immunisation priorities to align work across the system and focus efforts to improve coverage.
