72736 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How many Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) consultations, if any, occurred in the Minister's departments, if any, from 1 November 2023 to 1 November 2024 and what was the cost, if any?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development that costs in relation to EAP are available by financial year. The following provides the costs (including counselling, critical incident support and additional employee-wellbeing activities) for the 2023/24 and 2022/23 financial years. Year - 2023/24 Spend ($m) - 1.371 Year - 2022/23 Spend ($m) - 1.137 I am further advised that the number of EAP consultations for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 financial years were 7,217 and 8,159, respectively.
