72733 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Public Service: How many Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) consultations, if any, occurred in the Minister's departments, if any, from 1 November 2022 to 1 November 2023 and what was the cost, if any?

Hon Nicola Willis: Each year the Public Service Commission (along with other Public Service departments and departmental agencies) are required to report on how much they have spent on Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) or workplace counselling in the financial year, through Select Committee Annual Reviews. The appendices in the Commission’s Annual Review submissions for 2022/23 provide how much was spent on EAP and are publicly available on the Parliament website at the following link: https://www.parliament.nz/resource/en-NZ/54SCGOA_EVI_19731c4a-4dbc-44a5-453c-08dbfce8a371_GOA1021/ea3b35ab8bc6c49a9f2030b8168449e8daa158f2 I am advised that for the 2022/23 financial year, 103 appointments occurred between Public Service Commission employees and the EAP.
