72730 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to 55965 (2024), what, if any, were the total savings from the 2024 Oranga Tamariki restructure, as a percentage of Oranga Tamariki's total budget for the 2024/2025 financial year?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that Oranga Tamariki’s new organisational structure was stood up from 1 October 2024. I am further advised that they expect nine months of savings to be realised in the 2024/25 financial year which equates to $42.5 million or 3 percent of Oranga Tamariki’s 2024/25 departmental Budget of $1,521.6 million.
