72559 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: What advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents has the Minister or any member of their Office received, if any, during the week beginning 4 November 2024, by title and date?
Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 4-8 November 2024: • Speech to the EMPA (Emergency Media and Public Affairs) Conference, 5 November 2024 • Ministerial Approval of Risk Mitigation Projects under the 2022 Extreme Weather Event Nelson City Council Crown Funding Agreement, 6 November 2024 • Tasman District Council buyout request, 7 November 2024 • CRU Fortnightly Report (8 November 2024), 8 November 2024. In addition, jointly with the Minister for Local Government I received the following paper: Meeting with Crown Manager Lawrence Yule, 4 November 2024. In addition, jointly with the Minister of Finance I received one document on 8 November 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the title of this document as the matters are under active consideration. In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister I have received the following document: Cyclone Recovery Weekly Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, and Sediment Removal, 7 November 2024. In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in NEMA and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices.
