72516 (2024). Lan Pham to the Minister responsible for RMA Reform: Does the Minister have any concerns over the Waimate Regional Council asking the government to remove Project Kea from the Fast-track Approvals bill?

Hon Chris Bishop: Cabinet has made decisions on the projects to list in Schedule 2 of the Fast-track Approvals Bill. I have been informed by officials at the Ministry for the Environment (MfE) that the Waimate District Council will have the opportunity to comment on the project at the Expert panel stage of the application process.
