Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Finance: What work, if any, is the Treasury or any other agencies undertaking to respond to the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment's recommendation that public organisations tag all their spending on environmental outcomes to allow for improved tracking and reporting on domestic climate finance?

Hon Nicola Willis: This Government and the Treasury are committed to better performance reporting, and the Treasury has a work programme focused on this. In general, the response to the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment's (PCE’s) recommendations on reporting on environmental expenditure, including his recommendation relating to tagging, will be undertaken through the wider work programme on performance reporting, rather than through a separate piece of work.
