72294 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What rationale, if any, was employed by Health New Zealand when the decision was made to pause Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) calculations during collective bargaining?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand has not paused the Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) programme. However, it is considering a short pause to the CCDM FTE calculation while undertaking quality improvement processes. I am further advised that no final decision has been made, and Health NZ will continue to discuss these matters with unions and workforces where CCDM is used.
