72267 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What are the development costs for the business case for the new Waikato medical school as at 6 November 2024, and how, if at all, do they differ from what was originally considered by the Ministry of Health?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that $500,000 in 2023/24 and $2.575m in 2024/25 through Budget 2024 was provided from the Ministry of Health’s baseline to develop the business case for the new medical school. No additional funding has been sought as at 6 November 2024.
