72250 (2024). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: What is the anticipated completion date for the report on 'A comprehensive review of Corrections' prison-based mental health services' as referenced on page 91 of Annual Report 2023-2024?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Te Ara Tika – The Delivery of Mental Health Services within the Department of Corrections is an internal review of how Corrections’ mental health services are being delivered, as well as the broader challenges and opportunities associated with delivering mental health support to people being managed by Corrections. I am further advised that that the report into the review was finalised in August 2024, and released proactively to key stakeholders in September 2024. Corrections has been engaging in consultation meetings with these key stakeholders since September 2024 to discuss the review’s findings, answer questions and consider next steps.
