72239 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for the Public Service: How many people are employed in the public service in Wellington who will be affected by her work-from-home directive, as at 4 November 2024?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised that we do not know how many public servants have working from home arrangements, as data is not currently centrally collected. Part of the Government’s announcement regarding working from home expectations was designed to address this gap. As I said on 23 September, I have asked the Public Service Commission to collect data on working from home arrangements in an easily comparable manner and this data will be made publicly available early in 2025.
