71515 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister agree with the Commerce Commision's 30 September 2024 Determination on the Foodstuffs merger when it concluded "we are not satisfied that the bulk of any cost savings would be passed through to retail consumers"?

Hon Andrew Bayly: It would be inappropriate for me comment on an issue which is evaluated independently by the Commerce Commission. However, I am satisfied that the analysis and decision taken by the Commission regarding the merger was well-evidenced and informed by a robust process.
