Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister agree with the Commerce Commision's 30 September 2024 Determination on the Foodstuffs merger when it concluded "we consider that consumers are likely to be worse off overall if the Proposed Merger proceeded"?

Hon Andrew Bayly: It would be inappropriate for me comment on an issue which is evaluated independently by the Commerce Commission. However, I am satisfied that the analysis and decision taken by the Commission regarding the merger was well-evidenced and informed by a robust process.
