71453 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: How many individuals are employed within the National Gang Unit as of 1 November 2024?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that as at 1 November 2024 there are seven individuals employed in the National Gang Unit. Each of these individuals are currently in temporary roles and are made up of four Constabulary staff and three non-Constabulary police employees. The process to permanently appoint staff to the National Gang Unit is underway.
