69807 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 to achieve the expectation ‘Continue to develop Pharmac’s model to ensure patient voice and wide-ranging societal consequences are taken into account.’ under the objective ‘3.3 Enhance processes for quality improvement and strengthen the handling of quality concerns.’ within the Government Policy Statement on Health 2024–2027?
Hon David Seymour: I am advised that during the July to September 2024 quarter, Pharmac commissioned two consumer workshops to be run independently of Pharmac in November 2024. Pharmac continue to meet regularly with various consumer advocacy organisations to ensure the patient voice is considered throughout the assessment and funding process. Additionally, the Consumer Advisory Committee at Pharmac meets monthly and provides a consumer perspective on its work.
