Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 toward the action ‘Work collaboratively with national and regional providers to support the consistency and effectiveness of national and regional Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace (BFW) initiatives.’ under ‘Outcome 7: Learn how workplaces, education and childcare settings support parents and caregivers to reach their breastfeeding goals’ within the National Breastfeeding Strategy for Aotearoa?

Hon Casey Costello: I refer the Member to my response to Written Parliamentary Question 48274 (2024). I am further advised that during the July to September 2024 quarter, Te Puawaitanga ki Ōtautahi Trust established a Breastfeeding Friendly Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certification programme in the Waitaha region.
