Ingrid Leary to the Associate Minister of Health: Does the Minister agree with Andrea De Leon, of Dunedin's Queen Rose Retirement Home, which recently won the Aged Care Association’s supreme award for services to aged care, that providers needed to work together "whether it be employees, employers or business owners, we want to be able to help and be in partnership with them, whether it be through sharing staff training or working together through compliance audits and sharing best practices"; if so, what, if anything, will she do to support this?

Hon Casey Costello: I agree that aged care providers need to work together as we continue to deliver quality care for older people. I continue to meet with providers directly and I am advised that the Aged Care Funding and Service Models review is nearing completion.
