Hon Judith Collins: The agencies surveyed were not requested to provide information on client or citizen data storage. Agencies are responsible for developing their own AI policies on the use of AI. Guidance advising agencies on how to use Generative AI safely, ethically and in a privacy-protecting way was issued by the Data, Digital, Procurement, Privacy and Cyber Security System Leads in July 2023.
