Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 toward the action ‘Strengthen health sector participation in research and innovation’, under ‘Strategic Priority 2: Create a vibrant research environment in the health sector’ within the Ministry of Health’s New Zealand Health Research Strategy 2017 – 2027?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that there were no direct actions in this area during the quarter April to June 2024. However, the collaborative work that the Ministry of Health and Health New Zealand have been doing to determine how to strengthen the clinical trials and health research environment is designed to support increased health sector participation in research and innovation.
