69529 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Associate Minister of Housing: How many evictions, if any, were carried out at Kāinga Ora properties in each month since January 2024?

Hon Tama Potaka: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that eviction is a specific process involving the District Court, and only happens if a person refuses to leave the property after their tenancy has ended. The following number of evictions have taken place in 2024: January – 0, February – 0, March – 1, April – 1, May – 2, June – 0, July – 3, August – 8, September – 5.
