Hon Tama Potaka: New Zealand has a national biodiversity strategy and action plan: Te Mana o Te Taiao – The Aotearoa New Zealand Biodiversity Strategy 2020. This was submitted to the Convention on Biological Diversity in 2020. Consistent with New Zealand’s obligations under the Convention, New Zealand submitted national targets that draw from the strategy and are aligned with the Global Biodiversity Framework ahead of COP16.
