69402 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 toward the objective ‘Improve current testing for hepatitis C’ under ‘Focus area 3: Testing and screening’ in the National Hepatitis C Action Plan?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, the national hepatitis C pathway continued to be promoted to primary care services to develop a more consistent national approach to testing for hepatitis C. This included education and training sessions run in Central region for Hauora Māori and Pacific providers, with support to develop a pathway into clinical care if required.
