69398 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 toward the objective ‘Increase the linkage of diagnosed cases of hepatitis C with treatment’ under ‘Focus area 4: Surveillance and monitoring’ in the National Hepatitis C Action Plan?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, 145 referrals were accepted by the Northern region's prototype hepatitis C support and treatment service. Linkage to treatment, and reducing barriers to treatment, are key components of this service. A referral pathway has now been established with the region's Public Health Service which is resulting in a good number of referrals.
