Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 has been made toward actioning ‘Social marketing and programmes for communities at risk of HIV’ under Focus area 2: Combination prevention and health promotion actions as recommended in the National HIV Action Plan?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand facilitated internal focus groups to provide advice on effective and appropriate communication with communities at risk of HIV. This action is critical to reducing the transmission of HIV.
