Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 has been made toward actioning ‘Workforce training and guidance’ under Focus area 3: Testing and linkage to care actions as recommended in the National HIV Action Plan?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, the Burnett Foundation Aotearoa, funded through the HIV Action Plan, provided training to pharmacists, phlebotomists, and primary care workers, to extend both the range of providers able to provide HIV testing, and linkages to care and educating about HIV. This included developing online learning modules for pharmacists.
