Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 has been made toward actioning ‘collaboration and integration between health services and community organisations’ under Focus area 3: Testing and linkage to care actions as recommended in the National HIV Action Plan?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, HIV service providers continued to deliver scaled up innovative HIV testing funded through the HIV Action Plan. This included delivering rapid point-of-care testing in a range of settings, and strengthening collaboration and integration between health services and community organisations. Self-testing kits were promoted and distribution took place using vending machines in targeted venues.
